No Nuts!
A gentle reminder that we are a “No Nuts” school, due to food allergies.
Please avoid putting anything containing nuts in your child’s lunch box or snacks. This includes food stuffs like peanut butter.
We appreciate your support in this matter.
Covid Clarifications
With the every changing rules, the whole Covid situation can be very confusing. I have had lots of discussions with parents about isolation times and testing. Below, I have summarised the current guidance (it will probably change again) to hopefully clarify everything for you. Obviously, if you have any questions or concerns regarding Covid, please do not hesitate to ask.
A Lateral Flow Test should be used for asymptomatic testing.
If you have symptoms, you should complete a PCR test.
If you have a positive lateral flow result, then you do not need to complete a PCR, and your 10 days isolation starts.
A positive PCR result also means that your 10 days isolation starts.
If you have a negative test results, but you still have symptoms, you should continue to isolate.
After 10 days isolations you can finish your isolation.
On days 5 and 6 of your isolation, if you have negative lateral flow tests, 24 hours apart, you can return to school or work.
Close contacts that are under 18 or fully vaccinated should complete daily lateral flow tests, but do not need to isolate.
I hope that offers some clarification, again please ask if you are unsure.
We have a number of cases, where parents are positive but the children are negative and they are unable to get to school. In these situations, please contact school and we can see what we can arrange between us, to keep the children learning in school.
Year 3 Class Assembly
Next Friday (28th January), Year 3 will be performing their class assembly.
Parents of Year 3 children are invited to the assembly, which will start at 10:30am. Please arrive promptly.
If we continue to have staff absences, we may need to postpone the assembly at the last minute.
Due to the number of cases locally, the following Covid precautions are in place:
Only one parent per child will be able to attend
Wear a mask
If possible, take a lateral flow test before attending
Do not bring small children or babies
Sanitise your hands on arrival
Keep socially distanced
Please let the school office know by Wednesday, if you plan to attend
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Stay safe … and help keep others safe
