Friday 18th June Update
Governor Election
A gentle reminder that voting closes for our Governor election at midday on Monday 21st June. Thank you to Vicky, Emma and Jodie for putting their names forward, all of you would be an asset to the governing body. You can cast your vote by following this link: http://www.winshillvillage.org.uk/governorvote
I will announce the winner in next week’s blog. Please get voting, they will be your representative on the governing body and will influence the direction of the school. Many thanks for your support in this matter.
Class Photos
Today, the children are having their class photos taken. Due to the Covid pandemic, the last class photos were taken two years ago! We will get these out to you as soon as possible, so that you are able to put in your orders before the Summer break.
Stars of the Week
Year 3: Reuben & Isabella
Year 4: Imogen & Ava
Year 5: Lily Mae & Riley
Year 6: Zach & Jasmine
Headteacher’s Awards: Sienna & Ethan
There were no Stars of the Week for Reception and KS1, because Reception performed their class assembly. Well done all!
Transition and Term Dates
The children had a lovely lesson with their new teacher on Monday - it is great to see them all excited and enthusiastic about September. The children will spend another lesson with their new teacher in their new classroom next Tuesday and Friday. In these transition lessons, they are doing an English project, which will link to their topic in September. It is hoped that this will help the children have a smooth start in September.
Here are the dates of the terms for the next school year. Term dates 2021 2022
New Uniform Stockist
We have arranged an additional uniform stockist, for you to buy uniform with a logo. The uniform can be ordered online from https://schoolwearuk.co.uk/301-winshill-village-primary-nursery.
You can still buy uniform from www.myuniformltd.co.uk as before, but we thought parents might like choice of uniform stockists.
To clarify, children do not have to wear uniform with a school logo, plain red jumpers or cardigans are perfectly acceptable.
Free Activities and Food
Keep your children and teens busy over the summer holidays with some great activities including sports, cooking, art and outdoor fun. They’ll get a chance to socialise, have fun and be fed a hot meal! Our registration for eligible children opens on 5th July 2021. Find out more at ww.staffordshire.gov.uk/holidayactivities
Letters will be sent out from school at the beginning of July, to children who qualify.
Stay safe… and help keep others safe
