Friday 11th June - Update
Welcome Back
Welcome back, I hope you all had a lovely half term. It is great to see the children refreshed and ready to learn. We were very lucky with the weather, let’s hope it continues. With only a few weeks left to the summer holidays and the end of the school year, we are already busy preparing the children for September. I can’t believe how much they have all grown this year and how resilient they have been. I am sure that this half term will be a combination of hard work and fun activities. I am looking forward to it already!

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? by William Shakespeare
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee

Parents in School
The current guidance from the DFE (Department for Education) still states that visitors into school (including parents), should be kept to a minimum. We are hoping that this guidance will change on the 21st June, with the easing of Covid regulations nationally. However, if the lockdown easing is postponed, or the guidance doesn’t change, we may not be able to have parents at Sports Days and other school events. Although we will do our upmost to get parents involved in some way. We will not be able to make these decisions until the government releases new guidance, and this might be at the last minute thing. Please bear with us, and I will let you know how you get involved with school, with as much notice as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
It is important to note that Covid regulations in schools are often stricter than those in the community.
Mrs Pearsall
I am delighted to welcome back Mrs Pearsall to school, returning after her maternity leave. Mrs Pearsall will spend the next few weeks meeting with Mrs Claxton handing over all the information regarding SEN (special educational needs). Mrs Pearsall will then resume her SENCO role from September. It is great to have her back.
Stay Safe … and help keep other safe.
