When you come back to school, a few things will have changed …

As you know, from Monday, our school will be opening its doors to more pupils.

When children return to school, they will notice a few changes. We’ve prepared the site to meet the guidance that will help to keep pupils, staff and families safe, and this means some new paint on the playground and pathways, some new signs around the school, and a rearrangement of our classroom spaces to allow for social ‘bubbles’ in Nursery and Reception, and for socially-distanced working areas in Year 1 and Year 6.

To support the children as they prepare for their return to school, our staff have created a short film that shows some of these changes. Parents and carers might want to watch and discuss the film with their children.

Children will naturally be anxious about coming back to school after such a long time away, and we hope that, in some small way, the film helps.

Please reassure your children that most things will be exactly as they remember: the same staff, the same classrooms, the same exciting opportunities for learning and fun!

Our staff will carefully support them in readjusting back into old school routines, and in understanding and following the new ones. We’re really looking forward to seeing them back in school from Monday.

As always, if you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Miss Goodson.
