Coronavirus Information - Thursday 19th March

Dear Parents,

Covid 19 – Coronavirus Information

As you would have seen on the news, the Department of Education and Public Health England have instructed schools to close to the majority of pupils for the foreseeable future.

School will remain open for children of keyworkers and vulnerable children.  (A separate letter has been sent out explaining this.)

We will keep you updated through regular text messages, the school website (winshillvillage.org.uk) and the school’s twitter page @WinshillSchool.

The school office will be open Monday to Friday; 8:30 – 3:00pm – staff depending.  Please only contact school if there is an emergency or you are updating us regarding Coronavirus symptoms.  If there is an emergency outside school hours, please contact me via my email: headteacher@winshillvillage.staffs.sch.uk.

Your child is bringing home a pack of work tonight, to keep them busy whilst the school is shut.  In the pack there are a list of useful websites that the children can access, to help with their learning.  Staff will continue to upload work onto the school website for your child to complete.  There is a possibility that the children will be off school for a while, so it is important that they keep up with their learning.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused and I hope we can all be back at school as soon as possible.  In the meantime, if you travel abroad, show any symptoms of the coronavirus, or have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed positively, please tell us straight away.

Let me assure you that there have been no confirmed cases reported within the Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School community – closing the school is a national precautionary directive.

I wish you all well and hopefully we will open again soon.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Miss A Goodson
(Headteacher)
