Reception Learning Gallery No. 1

Roman’s home learning. Well done Roman I can see you have been having a go at phonics and maths games I have set for you . Well done! I also know you accepted my challenge to try level 2 on the pattern train! Great work.

Verity’s home learning. Verity has been practising her tricky words and the phase 3 sounds we have been learning in class. I love that you have made your own tricky word wall and used homemade phoneme cards to help you.

Rex’s home learning. Rex has joined us with our topic on the 3 little pigs this week and has done some fantastic work. He has built a home for the pigs and made great masks to help him re-tell the story. Well done Rex.

Isabelle’s home learning. This week Isabelle has done lots of work on the 3 little pigs. Wow Isabelle your writing is amazing, I am super proud of you! I love how creative you have been with your work this week and I hope the cakes were as yummy as they look!

Esmae’s home learning. Esmae has worked on her letters and numbers this week at home, well done Esmae.

Elsie’s home learning. Elsie has been working hard at home learning all about the three little pigs. She has made a pig mask, painted a picture and even done some sewing, well done Elsie. Elsie has also worked hard on her phonics and maths this week.

Connie’s home learning. Connie has been learning about the 3 little pigs this week. I love the mask! You have worked really hard with your maths and your writing, well done.

Alyssia’s home learning. Alyssia has been joining in with our brain gym exercises, craft work and reading her school reading book. Wow great work!

Connie’s work. Here is some of Connie’s work from this week. She has been learning new sounds and new tricky words in phonics. She has joined in with our daily maths lessons with Oak National Academy and is working on 1 more and 1 less. Connie has also created a poster about how we can look after our bodies and she has made some great suggestions. Connie how could we make sure we look after our teeth?

Rex’s work. Rex has enjoyed sledging in the snow! Then he has used pasta to work on his number bonds to 10. He has been practising his phonics sounds and even found a king to match the ng sound. He has made shakers with different fillings to make different sounds.

Isabelle’s work. Isabelle enjoyed the snow this week and made a fantastic snowman! She has also been learning her number bonds to 10 and has been thinking about people who help us.

Elsie’s work. A small selection of the work that Elsie has done this week. fantastic work again Elsie. You are really working hard with your phonics, learning new sounds and using them on your writing. I can also see that you are joining in with the daily maths lessons and have learnt number bonds to 10.

Thomas and William’s work. Well done boys, you have made great doctor’s bags. I can see you have also been playing tricky word games and have been practising reading the tricky words.

Isabelle’s Work. Well done Isabelle on your fantastic fire engine, I can see you have paid lots of attention to detail. I’m glad to see you are challenging yourself with your addition questions; using pompoms is a great idea. Do you think you could find all the different number bonds to 10 with 2 different colours of pompoms?

 

Verity’s work. More hard work from Verity, well done! I can see you have done some addition and found 2 different ways to make 10. Can you find any more numbers that add together to make 10?

Thomas and William’s work. Thomas and William have been enjoying their craft work, well done boys.

 

Rex’s work. Rex has been working hard with his phonics this week. Well done Rex I love your sentence using the trigraph igh! What sentence could you write using the ch digraph?

 

Alyssia’s work. Well done Alyssia! Great idea to use pasta for your addition questions. Can you challenge yourself to add 5 and 4 together?

Roman’s work. Roman has worked hard with his phonics and maths this week. I can see you have been using the sounds we have been learning to write words and read sentences. Well done.

 

Elsie’s work. Wow Elsie you have done so much work this week, you have been very busy indeed! I am reliably informed that I am the green lady in the painting and Elsie is the one with red hair and a purple dress, love it! I can see you are doing your maths lessons with the Oak National Academy and this is great because we are doing the same lessons in school. Keep up your good work.

 

Connie’s work. I can see that Connie has been working hard on all the tasks set on the website, well done Connie, Keep up the good word.

Belle’s work. Well done Belle! You have made a fantastic stop sign and you have worked hard with your writing.

Verity’s maths work. Fantastic work Verity! I love how you have used your beads to help with counting and matching to number cards. It’s really good how you are using things that you have at home and don’t need any special equipment to do your work.

Rex’s work. Wow Rex I am so impressed with the phonics work you have been doing! I can see you have been thinking about sh, ch and th words and have then written them into sentences. keep up the good work.

Belle’s work. fantastic work Belle. I love that you have used pasta and especially mini eggs to help with your maths work; great idea. You have been working really hard to write both names and it is looking really good. Can you write both names without anything to copy from?

Verity’s work. Well done Verity some amazing art work here! I can see you have been practicing writing both of your names, your letters are looking very neat. I love that you have been working hard with your phonics and have made some ch words. When you make some words next time you could make some real and some fake words.

Well done to Isabelle for her fantastic alphabet writing and her amazing art work of an Orca whale, a penguin and a polar bear.

Rex has been working hard at home with his magic painting set that he had for Christmas. He has also been practising writing his name and his numbers. Great work Rex, well done!
