Reception home learning Wednesday 3rd March 2021
Here is Wednesday’s home learning. Keep going! I know it’s tough at times, but all this hard work is getting you ready for when you move into year 1 with all your friends. You have learnt so much while you have been at home and done some incredible work, well done.
Phonics:
Practise all the phase 3 sounds using our sound mat.
Watch the phonics video below and join in with our new sound ear.
Literacy:
Maths:
Wednesday’s maths lesson with Oak National Academy on number to 15 .
Use the ladybirds you created on Monday to find pairs that make 10. (e.g 9+1=10) Write your answers down using a rainbow like this.
Topic:
Draw or paint pictures of ladybirds (any colours you choose!) Or paint other animals on the farm. You could try a ‘Draw with Rob’
Go outside: Look under your feet- Look down at your feet. What can you see? Are you standing on grass, concrete, gravel? Is that the same if you stood somewhere else? What is it made of? Why is it made of that? Is it hard because its a path that people walk on or soft because it’s a grassed area? Can you find different places to stand? Go on a walk around where you live and look for 4 or 5 different places to stand and take pictures of you there. you could make a photo montage of the places you have been.
Physical Development:
Practise writing animal noises in the speech bubbles.
Print out this ladybird or copy it yourself, then colour in the ladybird and cut out spots to stick on.
Join in with cosmic kids yoga.
ICT:
Play phonics frog. Move the frog across the road jumping on real words.
Story:
Our third Julia Donaldson story is ‘Zog.’
