Year 2 Home learning WB 25.05.2020 and WB 01.06.2020
Hello to my lovely Year 2 class!
I hope you are all enjoying this lovely sunshine and spending some time outside.
Thank you to Seren-Grace for sharing some pictures on the school website, sound like you had a brilliant time on your sunny walk and your number work looked great.
If you have been working hard or being creative remember to send photos in for the Learning Showcase so that we can see what you have been up to. I really love seeing all of your pictures.
I have put links below for the next 2 weeks. There is a wide range to allow you to practice your different skills.
I want to also remind you of websites that are offering free lessons and I highly recommend using these as well as the work set on here. BBC Bitesize have been running a full timetable of lessons, although they are not putting any new material on next week, they will be putting more up from Monday 1st June and all of the videos from previous lessons are still available, so if you have not used these yet they are there for you to use. I have heard good things from parents using the wider curriculum lessons in particular the geography, history and science. Oak National Academy is also providing free online lessons that have some really good content as well as work that follows on from one day to another. Like BBC Bitesize, the work is save to the website to be used at any time so you could look at the lessons that have already been taught to use with your child. White Rose Maths are also still providing online lessons for Maths lessons with questions for your children to have a go at.
Enjoy the next 2 weeks at home, make the most of lovely weather. I look forward to seeing lots of lovely pictures of your work on the website and speaking to some of you on the phone over the next 2 weeks. If you have any problems or you would like to talk to me remember you can send a message through the year 2 page on the website.
If you have not seen it, here is a link to the video created by the teachers to put a smile on the children’s faces.
Take care and keep smiling
Miss Hughes :)
