Year 5 Home Learning and Easter - Week beginning 06-04-20

Good morning Year 5. I hope you are all well and keeping safe. It has been lovely to speak to some of you this week. I have really enjoyed reading some of the messages I have received over the past couple of weeks. Remember you can send me a message to let me know how you are getting on, it is lovely to hear from you. I have also thoroughly enjoyed seeing your amazing work on the Home Learning Showcase! Erin, your colouring was fantastic and I am so impressed that you are learning another language, you will have to teach me some turkish when we are back at school. Alexia, your drawing of Fred the bear was brilliant and Isla your rainbow for key workers was beautiful.

If you have done any learning at home that you are proud of, make sure you get it displayed on our Home Learning Showcase page, I love seeing all the amazing work you are doing at home.

This week I have set you a range of challenges. I have also included some Easter activities. Please remember that you do not have to complete these challenges or Easter activities, they are just there if you would like to have a go at them. None of the challenges or activities below require any printing. The children can complete all challenges on paper.

This week your reading challenge is to clarify the meaning of any vocabulary you don’t understand.

Your task this week is to pick out 5 pieces of vocabulary from page 18 and 19 that you don’t understand. You then need to identify the meaning of those pieces of vocabulary. Once you have identified their meaning, can you write me a definition?

Example:

Rotten – something that is decaying and foul.

Remember you can use dictionary.com to find definitions.
