Friday 20th May - Update
Governor Vacancy
We are looking for a new governor for September.
Can you spare a couple of hours every half term?
Are you interested in becoming a critical friend for the school leadership team?
Would you like to be actively involved in the next stage of Winshill Village’s improvement journey?
If the answer is yes to the above questions, and you are interested in becoming a school governor, please send me an email expressing your interest to: win-headteacher@win.jtmat.co.uk by Monday 6th June.
If you have any questions about the role, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Uniform
It will soon be that time of year again when you are thinking about uniform for September.
We do not enforce jumpers with a logo, a plain red jumper is fine.
However, please follow the link for Winshill VIllage’s uniform options.

Family Lunches
A letter is coming home with the children tonight, inviting you to a Family Lunch.
Each child (in Reception to Year 6) can have one guest to eat their dinner with them on the following days.
Family lunches will start at 11:45am each day
Monday 13th June: Reception
Tuesday 14th June: Year 1
Wednesday 15th June: Year 2
Thursday 16th June: Year 3
Friday 17th June: Year 4
Monday 20th June: Year 5
Tuesday 21st June: Year 6
The slips and payment of £2.82 needs to be completed by Wednesday 8th June.
Jubilee Celebrations
On Friday 27th May we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in school.
We will be researching the decades of her reign; so if you have photos of you in old-fashioned clothing, they we would love to see them! It could be 70’s flairs, 80’s rara skirts or 90’s florescent jumpers.
It will be a non-uniform day for the children; it would be great if the children could wear red, white and blue.
We will be having a picnic style lunch (there will be a jubilee sandwich bag available from the kitchen) therefore there will be no hot meals available.
We will be holding the Winshill Village Jubilee Honours (a posh name for Star of the Week!)
We will take lots of photos, so we can share them with you via the blog next week.
It should be a fun day. Fingers crossed for decent weather.
Half Term
We break up for half term next Friday (27th May) at normal time.
The children are back to school, for the second part of the summer term, on Monday 6th June.
