World Book Day
It is World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March, and again this year, Winshill VIllage Primary and Nursery School, will be celebrating with the rest of the John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT). The children will be taking part in lots of reading activities throughout the day, as well as competitions in school and at MAT level. You can see what the children get up to by visiting: www.jtmatlovesreading.co.uk
You do not need to organise a costume for World Book Day, as we will not be dressing up, instead we will be focusing on some exciting and interesting reading and book activities for the children.
Uniform
A gentle reminder about uniform expectations…
Normal School Days: White or Red Shirt; Black/Grey Skirt, Dress, Trousers or Shorts (or summer dress); red jumper and black shoes
PE Days: White or Red T-Shirt; Black/Grey/Dark Leggings, Tracksuit Suit bottoms, shorts; trainers and wearing their school jumper.
We prefer the children not to wear jewellery, nail varnish, make up or large hair bands.
Questionnaires
Parent Questionnaires have been sent out today, and I would be very grateful if you could complete the questionnaires and return them to the school office by Friday 4th March. We value you opinions, and it is interesting to hear your thoughts about how we are doing. Your responses from the Autumn Term were overwhelmingly positive, and we have made improvements from your suggestions. A copy of the parent questionnaire can be found here.
