“The ideas for learning and fun activities on the website during lockdown were brilliant!”

“My child is happy and I am happy.”

“Everyone has done a tremendous job making the school safe.”

“The school have been very helpful and informative during the lockdown and kids are very happy to be back now and feel very safe. It’s a tough time and no one knows what’s best, so school are doing as well as I could expect. Well done!”

Thank you for those comments, much appreciated.

All negative comments focused around dismissal time at the end of the day. Some of the concerns raised included:

  • Lack of social distancing from parents

  • Over crowding in certain parts of the playground

  • Too much hanging around between collecting siblings

  • Parents invading “personal space”

We are keeping a close eye on dismissal time - and I have to say, it has improved greatly since we started back in September. Thank you. However, there is always room for improvement, and from a school’s perspective we are always tweaking, how and when the children are dismissed. We will continue to do so, and continue to look and make it better for everyone.

All parents can do their bit - to help at dismissal time. If the following points are adhered by everyone, then I am sure dismissal, will run smoothly.

  • With the increased Covid alert, we would appreciate it if masks could be worn where possible.

  • If one person could pick up the children, rather than groups, this will reduce numbers on the playground.

  • Remember the “rule of 6” applies when collecting the children. No big groups.

  • Once you have collected your child, if you could leave the playground as quickly as possible.

  • Please exit through the nearest gate (they are all open) to avoid “bottlenecks”.

  • Keep your distance from other parents and children

  • Gates are not unlocked until 3:05pm, please do not arrive too early

  • Arrive promptly for your child’s collection time, at the appropriate door

    • 3:10pm Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

    • 3:15pm Nursery and KS2 siblings of KS1 pupils

    • 3:20pm Rest of KS2

It is getting chillier each day, and as we have to all the windows open at the moment for ventilation, please make sure your child is wearing a cardigan, jumper or fleece.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Stay safe
