Thank a Teacher Day

Today is “Thank a Teacher Day”.

As it is “Thank a Teacher Day” I thought I would take this opportunity to thank ALL the amazing staff at Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School for their hard work and dedication over the last few weeks.

The staff at Winshill have been amazing – are amazing – they continue to go above and beyond to support the children, support the school and to support the community.

There has been a lot of bad press recently about teachers and schools, however this is completely unfair.  The staff have continued to work hard through lockdown; preparing online work, completing assessments, teaching children of key workers, contacting parents, taking part in online training, writing reports, arranging classrooms and resources as well looking after and worrying about their own families. In some respects, they have worked harder than ever.

Throughout this difficult time, throughout lockdown, the Winshill staff have continued to work hard for your children.

So thank you to the teachers, the teaching assistants, theoffice staff, the kitchen staff, the lunchtime supervisors, the caretaker, the cleaners, the governors for their commitment and dedication to Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School.

Perhaps, on “Thank a Teacher Day” it would be lovely if some of you could send a thank you message.

On Friday, I will be answering many of your questions in my blog.  If you have any questions, you would like to ask about the reopening of school, please message me.

Stay Safe
