Reception home learning Monday 1st February 2021
Hello and welcome back to our latest home learning blog. I hope you have all had a good weekend and enjoyed looking at our home learning gallery on Friday. This week we are going to learning all about the story of the three little pigs. We will be doing some art and craft linked to the story as well as learning to re-tell the story from memory.
This week is Children's Mental Health Week. The theme this year is Express Yourself. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good. In our blog this week, you will find some activities to support your mental health and wellbeing that allow you to express yourself. I hope you enjoy these activities - remember to send in any pictures so I can see what you have been doing and share them in our class gallery.
Well being:
Choose some of the well being activities ( or screen break activities) that sound good fun, or think of something different that you would like to do.

Read the words on this word mat. Can you read them all in 1 minute? Try to read them without blending if you can.
Listen to the jolly phonics songs with actions. Our focus sound today is oa.
Read the following oa words. Choose 4 to write down.
Can you match the sentence to the picture?

Make your own tricky word wall. Read each phase 3 tricky word and then copy them onto the wall.
Look at this picture and write a sentence about it.

Make a paper plate pig.
Use lego or other building bricks to make a home for the pigs.
