Year 2 - Home Learning - Week Beginning 20.04.2020
Hello to all of Year 2,
We have made it to the end of week 4! You are all keeping so busy and it is so lovely to hear! Lots of you have been making the most of the weather, going on short walks and playing in the garden. I have heard of lots of water fights and time in paddling pools which sounds so fun!
I have loved speaking to lots of you on the phone over the past 2 weeks, it has been really good to hear everything you have been up to and I have loved how excited you have all sounded.
The learning showcase on the website is such a busy place and I check for updates everyday. Amelia, your Lego boat is extremely creative. Eden your pirate ship you made was brilliant and I hope you managed to play in it for a while, I also loved your unicorn poster for the NHS and key workers! Gracie the picture of you looking at the super moon through a telescope is wonderful and it was so great to hear about it on the phone. Lily, your cake looks absolutely delicious, I hope it tasted good. Seren, as always you have been so busy, I have loved seeing your lock down time capsule booklet and you Easter hat was really cool. James I really enjoyed hearing about your scarecrow inspired by the ones on Alexandra Road, it looks amazing!
Keep sending in your pictures to the website, it makes me really happy to see everything you have been up to.
This week I have attached some learning ideas for you including some Maths, Reading, Writing and science. Please remember that you do not have to complete everything, What you complete is optional. I have attached lots of different things so that there is something for everyone. My challenge to you this week is to create some kind of Lock down memory keepsake, either with the rest of your family or by yourself. I have attached some ideas to help you with this.
Have a go at what you can and I look forward to hearing and seeing what you have been up to this week.
I look forward to talking to more of you this week.
Stay safe and look after each other.
Miss Hughes
