Welcome September 2022

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you have enjoyed the summer holidays and are feeling ready for the beginning of the autumn term!  We are all very much looking forward to welcoming you back into school on Wednesday.  Please find below some useful information. As always, if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask.

Our School Day

Doors open for all children at 8:45am. 

Breakfast club starts at 7:30am from Wednesday 7th September 2022.

The school day finishes at 3:15pm for reception, year 1 and 2 and at 3:20pm for year 3, 4 5 and 6. 

The morning session in nursery finishes at 11:45am.

The afternoon session in nursery starts at 12:30pm and finishes at 3:30pm.

New Reception Class

We are really excited to welcome our new reception children into school on Wednesday. Your child will have been allocated a morning or an afternoon session for Wednesday and Thursday, with Friday being their first full day in school. If you are unsure then please get in touch.

For both the morning and the afternoon sessions, children will enter school through our main building door. Collection will be from the reception playground. There will be plenty of staff on hand to ensure you know where you are going so please do not worry if this is your first time dropping off and picking up!

P.E. Days for KS1 and KS2

On P.E. days, children are encouraged to attend school wearing our school P.E. kit. This consists of plain black shorts/joggers/leggings with a plain white-t-shirt or polo-shirt.  A school jumper, fleece or plain black sweat-top may also be worn.

Year 1 – Monday and Wednesday

Year 2 – Monday and Wednesday

Year 3 – Tuesday and Wednesday

Year 4 – Tuesday and Thursday (swimming information to follow)

Year 5 – Monday and Friday

Year 6 – Monday and Friday

Water Bottles

Please send in a water bottle for your child/children.  These should only be filled with water and will be sent home daily. 

Term Dates

Term dates are on the school website.  Dates of all school events will be sent out this week and will be live on our school website.

 School Lunch Menus

School lunch menus will be updated on the school website ready for this term. A text will be sent out as soon as we have the new menus. Please note that school lunches are now priced at £2.57.

Flu Vaccinations

There will be flu vaccinations taking place in school on Thursday 15th September. A text message with further information will be sent out this week.
