Reports 2020

End of Year Reports

Today, you will receive your child’s end of year report - if your child (or a sibling) is in school.   The report has been written based on where your child was working at the end of the Spring Term – before the start of lockdown.

(If your child is not in school, their report will be delivered to you by a member of staff, at the beginning of next week.)

No formal assessments have taken place this term, but if your child has been in school, then their daily learning has been taken into consideration, when writing the report.

If your child has been assessed as “Age Related”, this means that at Easter they were on track to be age related by the end of the year.  This will inform your child’s new teacher of the level they are working at, and where to pitch future lessons.

Some objectives may not have been assessed and have been left blank. This is because this objective has not been taught due to the lockdown and the Covid 19 restrictions.  These objectives will be addressed in the new school year, and any gaps will be filled as a priority.

I hope you find the reports informative and positive, and that they are true reflection of your child’s abilities (as of Easter 2020).

I know some parents are worried about their child “falling behind”, however all children are in the same position, and we will use the skill and expertise of the school staff to plug any gaps.

Obviously, we can’t have a parents’ evening this term, but if you do have any comments or questions regarding your child’s report, or you simply want to say thank you  – please do not hesitate to get in contact with the class teachers via the buttons on the school website.  The staff will work hard to get back to you if necessary.

The envelopes also contain additional information about: Parent Pay, school menus, confirmation of hours for Nursery children and important dates for next year.

Many thanks for your continued support and for your endeavours at this difficult time.
