Piran has been working extremely hard with his Maths and English work this week. It is great to see Piran applying what he has learned to reasoning questions. It was wonderful to see Piran’s interpretation of the world through Hans Zimmer’s music.

I am also really impressed with your Maths work this week, you have been busy learning all about 3D shapes and nets. Well done for reasoning and problem solving with the skills you learned.

It was fantastic to see Matilda’s Maths work today, she has been busy calculating angles around a point. Well done for writing your six-digit numbers in words Matilda. She has made two dogs out of Fimo that she got for Christmas!
Max has been working extremely hard this week! He has done lots of research to complete a fact file about our artist. It was fantastic to see Max using his planning grid of who, what, where, when and why to support him with his writing activity.
It is always a pleasure reading Piran’s writing. Piran has written an excellent setting description about Pandora’s planet. Piran has got a lovely creative flair in his writing; he has used subordinate clauses, fronted adverbials as well as similes and metaphors. Well done Piran! A super fact file about our artist! Matilda has written a super setting description for Pandora’s planet. Matilda has used conjunctions to extend her sentences and used a range of up-levelled vocabulary to engage the reader. Super maths work Matilda - it is great to see you are exchanging using our column addition/subtraction method.
Kacey has been working extremely hard this week. She has written a fantastic setting description about Pandora’s planet. Kacey has used a range of fronted adverbials and punctuation within her writing. Kacey has enjoyed completing her Maths and Topic activities. I love her piece of art work inspired by our artist. It is great to see Kacey using her reasoning skills to apply her knowledge of shape.
Jessica has really enjoyed writing her setting description of Pandora’s Planet. Jessica has worked really hard to edit and improve her writing by up-levelling her vocabulary.
Noah has been working really hard today writing his description of Pandora’s planet, he has used great vocabulary and concentrated really hard with his punctuation. He has also really enjoyed researching our artist Nikos Engonopoulos and drew this picture of an old house - something that Noah found out Nikos would like to draw and paint.

Here are some examples of Jessica’s work. She has been working really hard exploring tone and texture with pencil and creating her own art work inspired by Nikos Engonopoulos. It is fantastic, well done Jessica. Jessica has also been exploring 3D shapes and has been sketching her own shapes as well as 3D nets. I love your clay tiger Jessica. Well done Jessica.
Matilda has been working extremely hard today. Matilda has been busy identifying adverbs which express when and how. Well done for responding to your next step Matilda and writing your own sentences using adverbs. Matilda has also been looking at naming parts of a circle and she has drawn a super diagram to demonstrate these. Matilda has also been researching the five pillars of Islam. Well done Matilda, keep up the hard work!
It was wonderful to see what Frances has been getting up to this week. Frances has used her planning of who/what/where/when to help her write a summary of Chapter 3 of Percy Jackson. Frances has also been answering some reasoning and problem solving questions for 3D nets. Fantastic art work Frances.
Oscar has been busy with his speedy times tables. Oscar has also been developing his 3D drawings in his Art activities. Well done Oscar!
