Reception home learning Wednesday 24th February
Wednesday’s home learning. Thank you so much for those of you who joined us for our zoom call. It is so lovely to see you all. I hope you enjoy today’s activites.
Phonics:
Find and copy phonemes from the phase 3 sound mat.
Listen for the ow phoneme as you listen to and join in with the jolly phonics songs
Blend sounds to make ow words from pictures.
Write ow words on a phoneme frame. (how, now, row, bow)
Roll a dice and read the ow words or simple sentences..
Literacy:
Use your phonics skills to write a list of what Little Red Riding Hood could put in her basket to take to Grandma.
Maths:
Wednesday’s maths lesson with Oak National Academy on numbers to 15 .
Make a set of numbered paw prints to 10, 15 or 20 then arrange them in order.
Topic:
Set up your own role play bakery to sell cakes, biscuits, etc.
You could make your own salt dough cakes, biscuits.
Colour and cut out the food for Grandma.
Physical Development:
Join in with some of the brain gym dances we try at school
Or try the trolls dance to ‘Can’t stop the feeling’
ICT:
Play dragon’s den on phonics play choose phase 3 and select the phonemes to practise.
