Reception home learning Friday 12th February 2021
We made it to Friday! Well done everyone you have all worked so hard, not just this week but for 6 long weeks of home learning. It is half term week next week so you can all enjoy a week off school work. Talk to your grown ups about fun things you could plan for your week off.
Phonics:
Read phase 3 phonemes with Flashcards speed trials on phonics play
Read these words then copy them into a phoneme frame to help identify the phase 3 phonemes you can hear.
Add the buttons and bars in these words to help identify the phonemes in the words.
Literacy:
Make a Valentine’s card. Tell someone you love them.
Maths:
Friday’s maths lesson with Oak National Academy on shape.
Play a board game such as snakes and ladders or frustration which involve moving counters a certain number of spaces. Or a game such as connect 4. Teach your child to play a simple game of cards such as snap.
Topic: The three Billy Goats Gruff & Valentine’s day
Go for a walk outside. Look out for any early signs of spring; maybe some snowdrop flowers or daffodil shoots beginning to grow. Listen for the different sounds that birds make.
Make a heart wreath. Cut out a heart frame on cardboard then cut out different sized and coloured hearts to stick onto the heart frame.

Join in with some of your favourite brain gym dances. (grown ups too!!)

Play dinosaur’s eggs on ICT games
