Reading:
This week we will be continuing with the topic of Europe.
The Geography of Europe – Europe is filled with a really unique landscape. On one hand, you have frozen tundra, on the other beautiful grasslands.
The Resources of Europe – You will find tons of natural gas and copper here.
Reading Comprehension Passage, Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice Questions
English:
This week for English we are going to concentrate on News Reports. Complete the lessons in sequence.
Lesson 1- Reading Comprehension - Fact Retrieval
Lesson 2- Reading Comprehension - Inference
Lesson 3- Identifying the features of a text
Lesson 4- SPaG focus - Inverted commas
Lesson 5- Write a news report
Spelling:
The spelling mistakes in these sentences have been circled. Can you write the correct spelling for each circled word?
Each sentence below has one word that is incorrect. Can you write the correct spelling?
For extra spelling practice this week, use Spelling Frame Rule 36.
Maths:
For maths this week we will be learning all about Length and Perimeter. You will learn how to measure and calculate the perimeter of a rectilinear figure (including squares) in centimetres and metres. You will also learn how to convert between different units of measures (for example kilometres to metres).
You can also learn about Area. You will learn how to find the area of the rectilinear shapes by counting squares.
You can also use MyMiniMaths to practice your arithmetic and key maths skills. This week try number 23 or number 25.
