Year 3
Welcome from Miss Leedham!
Hello and a very warm welcome to all our children, parents and carers! My name is Miss Leedham, and I’m delighted to be the Year 3 class teacher again this year. This is my third year of teaching, and I’m incredibly excited to continue bringing my love of learning, enthusiasm and creativity into the classroom. I especially enjoy reading, with fantasy stories being my favourite, and I can’t wait to share my love of books and stories with the children. I also love exercising, so I’m looking forward to bringing lots of energy, fun and positivity to our learning each day.
This year, Year 3 will explore an exciting range of topics and experiences, from fascinating history projects such as the Stone Age and Ancient Civilisations, to creative art opportunities, hands-on science investigations and engaging writing and maths challenges. We will encourage children to be curious, ask questions and develop a love of learning across all areas of the curriculum.
In our classroom, we value being kind, ready and safe. I aim to create a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels happy, confident and supported to grow, explore and achieve their very best. We will celebrate successes, learn from our mistakes and encourage one another to Dream Big!
Throughout the year, we will also enjoy lots of enrichment opportunities, including trips, special events, creative activities and exciting experiences that help bring our learning to life. These are wonderful opportunities for the children to make memories, develop new skills and put their learning into practice. Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming trips and special events!
I’m really looking forward to another amazing year in Year 3 and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things the children will learn, achieve and accomplish together. Here’s to a happy, exciting and successful year full of learning, laughter and lots of opportunities to shine!
