Our Vision

At Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School, our vision is to be an excellent school where outstanding practice, equality, independence, and well-being are at the heart of all that we do. We are a place where happy children are inspired learners, empowered to Dream Big and Learn Without Limits.

Our school is a vibrant, inclusive community where curiosity is celebrated, individuality is valued, and every pupil is challenged and supported to achieve their very best. We endeavour to ensure that our young people are fully prepared for life in the 21st century — equipped with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and compassion to thrive in an ever-changing world and make a positive difference to the lives of others.

Rationale

At Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School, we believe that education is about far more than academic success — it is about developing the whole child. Our Dream Big values provide the foundation for everything we do. They equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and resilience they need to thrive both now and in the future.

The world our children are growing up in is constantly changing. By teaching and modelling these values every day, we help pupils become adaptable, confident, and compassionate individuals who are ready to take on challenges and embrace opportunities. These values are not abstract ideals; they are practical guides to behaviour, learning, and personal growth.

Our Trust Commitment

As a proud member of the John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT), Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School is committed to upholding and promoting the core values and objectives of the Trust. It is the responsibility of all who work for, or are associated with, our school to contribute to these shared aims:

• Children are well-prepared for the next stage in their lives through experiencing the best learning opportunities, teaching and support, and access to high quality resources and provision in and beyond the classroom
• Children achieve more, and make better progress, by attending a JTMAT academy than would otherwise be expected; we add value
• Our academies are full and always oversubscribed as a result of their popularity, reputation and success
