 A message from the Chair of the Local Governing Body

 On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to welcome you to Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School. As the Chair of Governors, I am honoured to support such a wonderful school community.  

At Winshill Village Primary and Nursery, our motto is “Learning without Limits.” This ethos shapes everything we do — from the way we approach learning to the way we support each child’s development, both academically and personally. We believe that every child has the potential to excel and make a positive impact in the world. There are no limits to what our pupils can achieve when they are given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities.

Our dedicated staff, the governors, and the wider school community work together to ensure that each child feels valued and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Whether it’s in the classroom, outside on the field, or in creative activities, we are committed to providing an environment where our pupils can explore their unique potential.

As part of John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT), we benefit from the shared resources, expertise, and best practices that come with being part of a wider family of schools. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to offering the very best education for all our children. Working together with our partner schools, we ensure that our pupils have access to high-quality teaching, enriching opportunities, and support that goes beyond the classroom.

The Governing Board works closely with the leadership team and staff to maintain high standards and provide the best possible learning experience. It’s our shared goal to ensure every child feels valued, respected, and empowered as they embark on their educational journey.

The school adopts an ‘open door’ policy encouraging parents and other stakeholders to share in celebrations and also raise any concerns.
